White Coated Charcoal

I heard the black,
darken my voice,
the pain and revenge in it,
vibrated all around,
I felt the cold shrill,
run through my spine,
my eyes,
as black as charcoal.

I saw the white,
trying to push its way through,
to let me know,
know, that everything is all right,
I saw the glow,
comforting and warm,
melt my eyes,
my eyes,
a warmed ochre.
